THE "KITE CUSTOM"

Every year ,in  Shrove Monday the sky of Greece is plenty of colorful kites.

In the neighborhoods all over the country there is a joyful competition among youth groups or families for the kite that will fly higher .

 "Sarakosti " begins (a 40 days fastening period that leads to the Easter celebration).All municipalities organize traditional music festivals and offer free dishes  for the day.
