LITOHORO ,BETWEEN MOUNTAIN AND SEA

     Ιn central Greece,between Olympus,the highest mountain of the country and the Aegian Sea, lies in a truly privilleged position,the picturesque Litohoro.

The rich history of Litohoro is lost in the mists of time,as in the region there was  the Muses ancient worship .

 The present city it is said to be created in the 14th century. Just 9 miles north of Litochoro, it is the archaeological site of Dion, one of the most important religious sites of ancient Macedonia for about a millennium (5th century BC - 5th century AD).  Today at the ancient theater of Dion take place important cultural events during summer season.
